2008 Campaign Ends at Pine Creek
The Eagle varsity put on a strong effort in the steady cold breeze at District 20 Stadium in northeast Colorado
Springs Friday night, but couldn't generate enough first downs and sustained drives on offense as they fell to
Pine Creek 17-7. For the second year in a row our seniors and juniors have had a fantastic season, reaching
the state quarterfinals, and finishing with a well-earned 10-2 record. Their dedication and effort is
appreciated. Congrats to Coach Griebel and the entire coaching staff for another great season on and off the
field.
Pine Creek goes on to face Greeley West in one semi-final, while our league opponents Dakota Ridge and
Wheat Ridge face off in the other semi-final.

Great showing by both JV and Freshmen teams as they enjoyed very good seasons. Coaches Carr and
Burch are claiming the JV league championship with their 9-1 record. Congrats to these coaches and
players. And big congrats also to the Freshmen team and Coaches Mahoney, Chirico, and Fleming as they
wrapped up the 2008 campaign at 8-2. On to hoops and wrestling for these boys!
